Holiday card exchange 2013 [Closed ~]

Its finaly closed! I'll work on what to send to everybody this morning! So if you suddenly want to pop to get in (wich I highly doubt), do it very quickly!

I'm going to draw the names in a random bowl and send the adress ASAP after (in the notes you sent me, or emails, depending :3)

This year again, its coming back! And also earlier, hoping that this 
year everyone get their letter before christmas, or at least, close to it!

What is the card exchange?

The exchange is about making/buying a card, writing a letter, drawing, 
anything to send it to somebody else in the world. The point is that 
everyone have littles wishes and joy in those festive days! You don't 
have to be an artist to join, you also don't need to do anything special 
like giving a gift in it. A simple message, a simple card can do the job 
very well and can hold ones best wishes in it.

And that is snail mail. No emails, nothing electronic! Getting a letter 
in your mailbox is always more exiting, more personal, warm, than 
getting a message on the internet. Keep this in mind if you read further more!

How does it work?

Easy. You write, create, buy, etc a card for the holidays, you add 
something in it if you like (a message, an item, etc). Last year some 
people sent drawing, magnets, chocolate! Repeating myself, and you send 
that letter in the mail, no emails! So you'll need to buy stamps and 
prepare your letters! This inclued that you need to give me your adress, 
and being aware I'll give it to the person that will need to send you 
letters. Don't fear! I'll not keep it afterward, and do hope the other 
persons will do so too.

You can send letters to your own country (ex. Canada to Canada), to the 
country beside yours (ex. Canada to USA), or worldwide (ex. Canada to 
France). You also can send the number of letter you want! But try to 
stick to a reasonable number, or just a few if you can't afford for more 
in the future, because some people might not receive a letter. Also, you 
can decide to send only one letter worldwide, and many in your own 
country, you choose where you send!

And how stamps, and all this mailing works? I'm not 
used to send anything

This was the question I had some times. So quick explanation to help you 
out a little in case you need help! If you send to your own country, you 
know how it work, a normal stamp and voila. If you send like, to Canada 
from the USA, or the other way around, there's a special stamp that cost 
a little bit more just for this. Or it takes 2 normals stamps to equal 
this one. If you send worldwide, there's also a special 'international' 
stamp you can get. Or its about 3 normals stamps I think. You just need 
stamps to send normal letters, but if you decide to send something 
bigger, and that its bigger than a normal letter, or that its heavy, 
you're maybe better to go at your postal office and ask them, this way, 
you'll be sure the price is right!

Username: (or website to refer yourself if somebody would like to 
inspire themselves out of what they can see of you!)
How many letters to be send?:
To where?: (can be the places you want)
Your adress: (complete adress with a name please! We need to know where 
and to who we're sending the letters)
Do you speak other language?: (in case you could write to people that 
doesn't only speak in english, like french only people for example)

*If you are a minor, or living at your parents: don't forget to ask 
them before! Since you need to give your adress and that you'll receive 
letters, some parents might not want you to do it. It happenned to some 
people before, and receiving a note saying you're out since your parents 
told you no, it make me re-work the list, and in the worst, I need to 
contact everybody to change everything. This is bothersome for me, and 
even more for the people that got you. So please, ask first.

About the deadlines

To join, you have until december 1st. After that, I'll sort the names 
and send you list of people to send you letters to.

To send your letters, I'd say it be more around the december 16th to do 
so. After, they might not receive it before or while christmas, but 
before this date is totaly fine too! You might receive letters until 
January, don't fear, but, it still so unpleasing that nothing get in 
your mailbox in the holidays, so the faster, the better!
